Does anyone know of an LJ community which revolves also around how words -look-?

(I'm into both by the way, and plan to make more posts like my 'Delineate' one as time moves forward)

If not, but you are also interested in such a thing, I created one (before finding this place) as experiment I suppose and would be happy to share the link with anybody interested...

Thanks in advance,
Dave

I don't know of any such community, but I'm interested in this concept of loving how words look as well as sound. I'd love for you to go more in depth since I'm not sure I really understand, for example, is the same word in a different font as pleasing? Does that matter at all? I've enjoyed your posts so far and am looking forward to more in the future!

Well, you can see a prototype of how such an idea might fly here:

sexynamesnwords

As those of us who enjoy this concept come together we can decide if we want this to be how/where we congregate or if we'd like to do stuff some other way entirely...

Re: Different Fonts...

That is an excellent question... I guess this depends on the person, and though I do have some rather strong font preferences, most of the words I love really do do well for me in most fonts...

In some ways I guess this is about seeing words "in their natural habitat". When I enjoy a particular instance of a word, I take pictures and show her off...

The other thing I did was throw names in along with words... On a comm such as this one (and others), people are very "definition centric"... Perhaps less so there... Many names are words/do have meanings, and what's a word but a name for a concept? So using one place for both can be worth considering...

Thanks For your positive comments... I need to find likeminded people and to produce something 'who lives on'. If you don't like how I went about something, we can talk until we get the concept right...
